Interested? We thought so! So, the next question is when can we expect to see Mad Max on our screens? The game is launched simultaneously around the world on 1 September 2015 - mark it in your calendar now, as it's set to be a good'un.
Mad Max game: UK pricing and pre-orders
The good news is that you can pre-order Mad Max right now, ready for its release next month. The good news doesn’t stop there, either as Amazon is listing Mad Max for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for only £39.85, an amazing price for a newly-released next-gen game. Amazon pre-orders will allow access to the ‘Ripper’ in game (via a DLC code emailed after launch), a fully customisable vehicle that’s both fast and dangerous.
However, if you’re looking for something a bit more special, there’s a special edition of the game available exclusively at Game. At a price of £44.99 for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 variations, the Mad Max Ripper special edition offers the same Ripper DLC as the Amazon pre-order, along with a special edition metal case for the game, as well as an official Mad Max poster.
But what about PC gamers? Oddly, we couldn’t find any pre-orders for the PC variation of Mad Max at Amazon or Game. In fact, the only site that we could find that allows pre-orders of the PC game is Steam, with a more-than-satisfactory price of only £34.99.

Mad Max game: What can we expect from Mad Max?
So, what can we expect from the upcoming Mad Max game? As mentioned above, gamers take on the role of Mad Max, a warrior that utilises his fists, guns and car to wreak havoc on the post-apocalyptic environment and its inhabitants (usually gangs of bandits). The aim of the game? Max needs to create the ultimate war vehicle to escape from the Wasteland he finds himself in, once and for all.
The game itself is open world, so expect a lot of traversing and discovery. You’ll have to watch out for not only gangs of bandits ready to attack you, but also hostile weather patterns (including sand storms) and even the environment – the last thing you’ll want to do is drive your car off a cliff, right? A fully dynamic world means that you’ll always experience something slightly different when travelling from place to place, which makes for a great exploratory experience, especially when hunting down upgrades for your vehicle.
It’s not only your car that needs upgrading though, as you’re also able to craft and upgrade Max’s equipment and weapons. Gain experience from combining different fighting styles and switching between melee combat, gunplay and more traditional, tactical techniques. Upgrades allow you to survive against the various bandits and factions that you’ll come across in the wasteland you find yourself in, both during missions and dynamically throughout the open world.
