Henge Dock for Apple MacBook makes media centre of your Mac

Adds USB, Ethernet and FireWire to your laptop

MacBooks are beautifully designed, but they are also famously minimalist. Ports and media card slots are noticeable by their absence on the MacBook Air, in particular. The Henge Dock addresses this very issue with a plethora of ports that add connectivity to almost any MacBook. Additional USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet connection are offered on all versions of the Henge Dock, while some models also include FireWire and audio connectors. The additional ports are designed to allow the Mac hardware to become a media centre, with speakers and hard drives added it. The plug and play system does not require an app to be installed or any software changes to be made.

The company explains “The Henge Dock MacBook docking system reuses a customer’s existing Apple supplied MagSafe power source and Mini-DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

The Henge Dock comes in versions that fit an 13in, 15in or 17in MacBook. These cost £59, £69 and £79 including VAT, respectively. The Henge Dock is available now via Amazon UK, Computers Unlimited or Protonica.co.uk.
