TomTom GO LIVE 825 5in satnav

Devices comes with live services for a year

TomTom has expanded its satnav offering with the GO LIVE 800 - a range of two devices that offer touchscreen displays and a year's sunbscription to the firm's LIVE services.

TomTom's live 'over-the-air' services are delivered to the device via a built-in SIM card and include accurate traffic information, delivered every two minutes, as well as a real-time fuel price search and Safety Alerts that identify the location of not only fixed but also mobile speed cameras.

Drivers also benefit from an intelligent orientation sensor that ensures the display is always facing the right-way-up no matter how the device is mounted, along with voice recognition that allows users to speak the names of the roads they want fdirections to and hands-free calling via Bluetooth.

"Its smart design puts powerful TomTom LIVE Services like HD Traffic into a great value package - helping drivers everywhere to break free from jams."

The TomTom Go Live series is available with a 4.3in or 5in display. The TomTom Go Live 825, which comes with European maps and a 5in display, is priced at £229 and available now while the 4.3in TomTom Go Live will be available from September.
