Compro has unveiled a new TV tuner allowing netbook and laptop users to enjoy live TV shows as well as catch-up TV. The Compro VideoMate U680F is a USB device that displays and can record live TV on your PC.
The VideoMate U680F can pick up analogue and digital TV broadcasts as well as DAB and FM radio broadcasts and comes with a built-in LED that indicates signalstrength.
The bundled ComproDTV 4 software ensures users pause and rewind live TV broadcasts, well as customise the channel order, create favourite channel lists and even set the live TV screen in wallpaper mode so you can watch TV while using other applications on the PC.
The TV tuner supports the H.264 and 1080i file format, so users can record and watch TV in high definition and can be used with Windows Media Center for Windows 7 or Vista.
The Compro VideoMate U680F, which also comes bundled with a remote, is priced at £27.97 and is available now from Dabs.com.
