Sony has unveiled its new Vaio M netbook, which is powered by Intel's N450 Atom processor.

The 10.1in netbook has an LED backlit screen, comes with a 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive and a MotionEye webcam.

Running Windows 7 Starter Edition, the Sony Vaio M includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and three USB ports.

The 180x33x260mm netbook comes in black or white, weighs 1.3kg and is powered by a six-cell battery. Software includes a 60-day trial of McAfee security software.

The Sony Vaio M costs £300 and is available immediately.
