MSI launches Wind Top AE2210 all-in-one PC

Sandy Bridge PC offers THX audio and USB 3.0

MSI's Wind Top AE2210 is an all-in-one PC running Windows 7 Home Premium that's geared up for a life of work and play in HD. With some of the latest technology onboard, it runs an Intel 'Sandy Bridge' processor and offers a 21.5in full-HD multitouch screen, THX TruStudio Pro surround-sound technology and USB 3.0 support.

The Wind Top's 21.5in full-HD (1920x1080-pixel) multitouch widescreen display lets you check the news, weather or your email inbox at a single touch. A Vesa-compatible wall mount is convenient if you need to save space. The PC also offers high-quality visual and audio technology, with THX TruStudio Pro providing crystal-clear 5.1-channel surround sound from the AE2210's two speakers.

Technical specs include a speedy Intel Core i3 2100s 'Sandy Bridge' processor, integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a one-terabyte hard drive, while connectivity options cover HDMI, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and gigabit ethernet. As well as four USB 2.0 ports, the MSI sports two high-speed USB 3.0 connections, which perform data transfers up to 10 times faster. A six-in-one card reader and Super Multi DVD drive are built into the 7.3kg, 555x405x66mm machine, which is also supplied with a wireless keyboard and mouse.

All-in-one PC reviews

A useful selection of software is preinstalled. Quick Sync Video software makes editing videos simpler, while professional artwork package ArtRage3 can encourage amateurs to feel like skilled artists. The MSI's YouCam 4.0 visual effects program can be combined with MSN Messgener and Skype for adding fun effects to video chat, or directly uploading files to YouTube and Facebook.

A feature that particularly caught our eye is the Wind Top's ability to begin recording when motion is detected by the built in camera, making this all-in-one PC ideal for surveillance duties.

Also worthy of note is the Super Charger technology, which MSI claims can reduce the charging time of a USB device by 40 percent and even continue to charge it when the PC is turned off.

The MSI Wind Top AE2210 all-in-one PC comes with a two-year collect-and-return warranty and costs £700 inc VAT. For more information see uk.msi.com.
