Sony Vaio L21 all-in-one PC

Sony has added touchscreen capabilities to its new Vaio L21 all-in-one PC, but along with a welcome feature update comes the rather unwelcome £1,200 price tag.

Thanks to the inclusion of touch, the existing photo and video galleries to which these slimline multimedia PCs lend themselves now also become interactive messageboards.

The Windows 7-based Vaio L21 has a 1920x1080 pixel Full HD 24in display and comes with Microsoft Touch Pack. To this Sony adds an instant on feature so the Vaio can be used for convenient web surfing, the option to use the screen as a display for the PlayStation 3 when the PC is switched off, and 3D surround sound speakers for enhanced audio. Some models in the range come with a Blu-ray drive.

The Sony Vaio L21 comes with Microsoft's Touch Pack preinstalled
