Gigabyte T1000P multitouch tablet PC

Gigabyte is venturing into the touchscreen tablet arena with the launch of its T1000P convertible multitouch laptop.

The 10.1in screen tablet has a 1366x768-pixel resolution, runs Windows 7 Starter Edition and has an 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 processor at its heart. 802.11 b, g and n Wi-Fi and gigabit Ethernet are provided on the multi-touch device, while 3.5G connectivity is offered as an optional extra. The T1000P has a 250GB hard disk drive and 1GB of RAM. A 1.3Mp webcam comes as part of the standard specification.

Pricing for the Gigabyte T1000P multitouch tablet has not yet been announced, but online reports suggest pricing of around $695.
