Medion Akoya E6300 D desktop PC

Medion has unveiled the Akoya E6300 D - a desktop PC powered by AMD's Phenom X4 9650 Quad Core processor.

Running Windows Vista Home Premium, the PC also comes bundled with Microsoft Works 9.0 and Microsoft Office 2007 Trial Edition along with a voucher for a free upgrade to Windows 7 when the OS is released on October 22.

Purchasers of the Medion Akoya E6300 D will also benefit from an ATI Radeon HD4550 DirectX 10.1 graphics card, a 640GB hard drive, CD/DVD rewritable drive and a HDMI port that allows content stored on the PC to be enjoyed on a HD TV.

The PC also features a multi-format memory card reader, two USB ports and ethernet and 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity.

Priced at £429.99 the Medion Akoya E6300 D will be available from participating Aldi stores later this week. The LCD screen will be sold separately.
