Toshiba Tecra A10 and M10 laptops

Toshiba has launched two new models in its Tecra laptop range.

The A10 and the M10 both come with Intel Centrino 2 processors and Toshiba's EasyGuard technology. This uses fingerprint recognition and password utilities to offer advanced security protection.

The laptops weigh less than 2.5kg and are clad in a shock protection chassis to reduce damage to internal hardware. Btoh models run Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition.

The 14in Toshiba Tecra M10 has 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard disk drive, a DVD drive and Bluetooth and wireless connectivity. The laptop also features integrated 3G technology so laptop owners can get fast web access when on the move. The Toshiba Tecra M10 costs £549 ex VAT.

The Tecra A10, meanwhile, is a 15in laptop priced at £499 ex VAT. It comes with 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard disk, a DVD writer and wireless and Bluetooth connections.

Both laptops will go onsale in the third quarter of the year.
