Dell has announced a number of new models in its Latitude and Precision laptop ranges.

The Dell E4200, E4300 and E6400 ATG are the new additions to its Latitude range. The E4200 is a 12.1in laptop while the E4300 is a 13.3in version. Both feature an Intel Core 2 Duo ultra low-voltage processor alongside 1GB of memory. The RAM can be upgraded to a maximum of 5GB (4GB expansion plus the 1GB onboard), while customers can also opt for a 64GB SSD drive.

Running Windows Vista, the laptops also offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a built-in mobile broadband chip and will be available in brushed metal, regatta blue or red casing. Dell will also offer the Latitude E4200 in pink.

Both laptops come with also Dell Latitude ON, a new feature that enables near-instant access to email, calendar, attachments, contacts and the web without booting into the system's main operating system.

Pricing details for the new Dell laptop range have yet to be released.

Dell's latest Latitude laptops come with either an SSD or a standard laptop hard disk
