Measuring 181x327x133mm and weighing 1.1kg, the triangle-shaped Octiv 202 speaker is designed to fit neatly in tight spaces and corners.
Its two docks are compatible with all generations of the iPod and iPhone, except the shuffle. As well as charging the devices, the Octiv 202 also allows users to enjoy music stored on the devices through its two 2in speakers.
The speaker comes with a USB port on the side, that allows users to play music stored on other devices through the speaker, while charging it at the same time. It is also bundled with a remote to control music choices on the iPhone/iPod, while the handy magnetic back ensures the remote can be stored when not in use.
iPhone and iPod touch users can also download two free apps that give the dock further functionality.
The Music Mix app lets users control what percentage of music is being played from the two different devices, while the Alarm Rock app turns your iPhone/iPod and speaker into an alarm clock. It even allows users to choose between waking up to music stored on the iPhone/iPod or a buzzer and customise the interface of the app.
"The Octiv 202 is a fantastic solution for charging and listening to two iPods or iPhones: with brilliant sound quality and the free apps – you don't need a bigger more complex audio dock," said Adrian Bedggood from Altec Lansing.
