iLuv iSM524 ArtStation Pro Android Hi-Fi dock

Samsung Galaxy tablets get dedicated speaker dock

iLuv has created a docking station for Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablets. The ArtStation Pro turns the hugely popular tablet range from slate to complete home entertainment setup, adding a sturdy stand that allows the tablet to be rotated to either landscape or portrait mode.

The iLuv ArtStation Pro uses via Samsung’s proprietary 30-pin connection, has an acoustically tuned two-way speaker, 3.5mm headphone/auxiliary input and an infrared remote control. iLuv has made this magnetic, so it can be stored by attaching it to the side of the ArtStation Pro when not in use.

The speaker dock is mains-powered, measures 300x295x200mm and weighs a hefty 2.28kg. It costs £99.99 and is now available through Amazon.

Android speaker docks are few and far between due to physical differences between differing tablet designs. In November, Philips launched two speaker docks for Android tablets under its Fidelio audio accessories range.

We'll be reviewing the ArtStation Pro shortly. For more information see www.iluv.co.uk
