PURE Contour 100Di iPad and iPhone dock debuts

PURE has unveiled a new Apple iPod and iPhone speaker dock with built-in DAB and FM radio tuners. The PURE Contour 100Di costs £99 and is a cheaper, non Wi-Fi-enabled version of the existing Contour dock.

Any self-respecting audio device these days has its own app. So it is with the PURE Contour 100Di – a revision of the original hemi-spherical iPod dock launched at the start of the year. This model is smaller and a little less pricey and doesn’t include internet radio on the device itself; instead you tune in via your iPhone or iPad app and use the Contour as a speaker.

As on the earlier model, the 100Di offers DAB and FM radio, access to The Lounge podcast portal and pumps out 20W audio. PURE Music subscriptions are supported too. We’re pleased to find PURE has kept the recessed dock. On this model, there's a push-panel that rotates to reveal the connector dock and which tucks out of sight when not required.
