PURE Evoke Mio Orla Kiely DAB radio

Digital radio brand PURE has come over girly with the launch of a distinctly feminine looking version of its Evoke Mio. Designer Orla Kiely’s distinctive florals adorn the exterior of the compact DAB and FM radio.

The £149 DAB radio has a walnut veneer and, with both an embedded mirror and a leather tag,  looks more like an upmarket handbag. Up to 30 station presets can be saved – what's playing is shown on the Mio's bright OLED screen – and there's TextScan feature, alarm and kitchen timer. The mains-powered digital radio can be turned into a portable device that runs off a rechargeable ChargePAK battery.

Part of the Orla Kiely homewares range, the designer-clad DAB will be onsale exclusively through John Lewis from November until March when it will become available through independent retailers.
