PURE Evoke 1S Marshall DAB radio

PURE has launched an updated version of its popular Marshall amp design Evoke DAB radio. The £119 PURE Evoke Marshall 1S builds on the success of the original Marshall model that was has been onsale since 2007.

The new model adds an FM radio, yellow-on-black OLED display and a ChargePAK to allow the device to be used off the mains.

The Evoke 1S Marshall DAB radio has a 3in drive unit and active filters that PURE says provide “straight from the studio” sound. As with the original Evoke Marshall DAB radio, the sound goes all the way up to 11. There’s a countdown timer as well as an alarm clock plus Intellitext and textscan functions.

Says Paul Marshall of Marshall Amplification: “We’re excited to bring the Marshall brand back to this fast growing segment of consumer electronics. Working with PURE we’ve created a digital radio that brings iconic Marshall design to an equally iconic radio that all listeners can embrace as a stylish statement of their love for music.”

The PURE Evoke 1S Marshall is available for preorder from today from HMV.co.uk and will be onsale in HMV stores from mid-August. From the end of September sales will be rolled out to other outlets.

A PURE S1 speaker unit that also mimics a Marshall amp will be available separately.
