Blackbox C18 earphones

Blackbox has unveiled a pair of noise-cancelling earphones known as the C18s that can cut out up to 92 percent of background noise

The Blackbox C18 earphones use a technology known as Active Noise Rejection. This sounds like something our mums would use to arbitrarily decree that our latest favourite indie band were unsuitable listening. However, it’s actually aimed at making for a more enjoyable audio experience “on the go” as it cuts out other people’s annoying chatter.

Powered by a single AAA battery, the BlackBox C18 earphones offer 50 hours listening time and come with an airline adapter, a lanyard and carry pouch. use Active Noise Rejection technology from Phitek Systems. Blackbox also says the earphones have been ergonomically moulded to enhance user comfort.

"The C18 earphones are a new kind of listening experience for anyone who enjoys listening to music, particularly when they are on the go," said Neil Truckell from Blackbox.

"We're really looking forward to giving UK music lovers the best of Blackbox and breaking into the market without asking our customers to break the bank”, said Blackbox’s Neil Truckell.

The earphones are onsale now and cost £69.99 inc VAT from Play.com or Amazon.
