IXOS Divo Sound System

IXOS has introduced a powered 2.1-channel sound system that can be used with TVs and iPods as well as laptops and desktop PCs.

The IXOS Divo Sound System comes with the all-important 'Made for iPod' Apple blessing and acts as an iPod and iPhone charging dock as well as playing tracks stored on it.

IXOS
is at pains to point out that the Divo Sound System can be used with non-Apple players too. "The Divo provides the versatility to adapt to any lifestyle usage and the smart styling and separated component parts allow it to fit in almost anywhere", reads the marketing detail.

The mini-tower speakers can be situated well away from the separate subwoofer, thus allowing for wide stereo separation, insists IXOS.  The music reproduction is more realistic and provides a much wider sound field, compared to other one-box iPod docking speakers or one-box systems.

Stereo phono and 3.5mm inputs also mean the Divo will work seamlessly with the vast majority of computers, televisions and DVD players, promising maximum stereo fidelity and a rich bass output from the supplied speakers and subwoofer.

The Divo boasts a 20Hz-to-20kHz frequency response and 48 Watt RMS total power output. Each speaker houses two 50mm midrange drivers and a 15mm tweeter.  The subwoofer has an Acoustic Air Spring passive radiator, which allows for extended bass output.

The speakers come with a remote control and a range of connection and speaker cables from 50cm to 4.5m long so they can be set up in a variety of living spaces. The £229 Divo speakers are available now. For full details see http://www.ixos.co.uk/divo
