Altec Lansing has launched the Orbit USB - a £39 circular laptop speaker designed to be robust but portable.
The £39 Orbit USB connects to your PC via a 16in USB cable and allows you to enjoy music stored on your computer.
Altec Lansing says the circular shape ensures a 360-degree sound field and the inclusion of a retractable stand means users can angle the sound wherever they want.
The Orbit USB is made from aluminum and composite materials and weighs just 36g. It comes with a neoprene case and carabiner hook so it can be attached to the laptop case and easily transported from place to place.
Whether you like to listen to iTunes, watch movies or simply need better presentation sound, the Orbit USB's plug-and-play audio will work for you. And the battery-free design offers an environmentally responsible solution," said Adrian Bedggood, Altec Lansing's consumer marketing manager.
Priced at £39.99, the Orbit USB will be available from 1 October.
