IXOS Neo iPod dock

IXOS Neo iPod dockIXOS has joined the throng of other audio hardware makers and launched an iPod dock with integrated FM radio. The IXOS Neo is described by the manufacturer as "the perfect way to deliver quality stereo sound to smaller rooms in the home".

The Neo has four-speaker drive units and an amplifier that can deliver 10 Watts of audio. The user can specify six separate settings for use with different types of music.

Auxiliary and phono inputs allow the Neo to be used with an external hi-fi, as an external speaker for a TV or CD player when not playing music or podcasts from a docked iPod. It can also be connected to an external amplifier.

The IXOS Neo has a blue backlit LED that displays FM radio station information along with the time. It can be used as an alarm clock as well as a radio and iPod dock.

Pricing for the IXOS Neo iPod dock has yet to be announced.
