Sony MDR-XB20EX eXtra Bass earphones

Sony has launched a five-strong range of headphones and earphones designed to ensure MP3 player fans get the best listening experience. Known as the XB range, Sony says the name reflects its emphasis on eXtra Bass.

Sony says the headphones and earphones accurately reproduce ultra-low frequencies without distortion of the mid-range or higher-frequency sounds.

There are two earphones and three headphones in the XB range. The black and silver in-ear MDR-XB40EX and MDR-XB20EX models offer a 'direct vibe' acoustic design. This, says Sony, minimises sound spillage, ensuring you don't annoy commuters with your music. 

The headphones will be available from the SonyStyle website in March. Pricing has yet to be announced.
