ION Express DJ audio software

If you're looking forward to a New Year's Eve Party but don't want to see in midnight stuck fiddling with your stereo system to ensure the party's in full swing, then ION's Express DJ could be just what you're looking for. It combines a PC music-mixing program with a mixing desk that attaches to the computer via USB.

The ION Express DJ MixMeister software takes a selection of songs, analyses their structure and mixes them together. Once you've imported your chosen tracks, the DJ software automatically applies crossfades and aligns and adjusts the tempo of the tracks so they seamlessly blend into each other.

However, if you fancy yourself as the next Pete Tong, you can manually mix the tracks. This is where the USB mixing desk comes into play. Its dials and slider can be used to adjust the bass and treble of the tracks. Another option is to connect the mixing box to your sound system and sing or freestyle over the mixes. A microphone is included as part of the package.

Once you've produced a mix you like, you can save it to your PC hard drive, burn it to CD or copy it to an iPod or other MP3 player.

Priced at £59.99, the Ion Express DJ is available from getinthemix.co.uk
