PURE Evoke Mio 'green' DAB radio range

PURE Digital has added yet more radios to its Evoke line-up. The £149 PURE Evoke Mio offers both DAB digital radio and FM reception.

The Mio DAB radio is based on the design of the original PURE Evoke 1S and is offered in a choice of 5 bold colours: chilli, chocolate, moss, candy and midnight.

PURE says the colours were chosen with 'eco chic' in mind, since the Evoke Mio is the eighth DAB model in the PURE line-up to be recognised by the Energy Saving Trust. Criteria for this includes low power consumption, minimal packaging and the use of recyclable materials that have been sourced from sustainable sources.

PURE says the Mio uses 0.9W of power in standby mode, compared to an average of 2.64W for similar products.

The Evoke Mio has a 30-preset station memory, a 128x22-pixel auto-dimming Oled (organic light-emitting diode) display and has a 3.5mm jack inputs for a speaker or MP3 player. The Mio can be used as a battery-powered device or as a portable DAB radio. Its battery should last up to 20 hours between charges. A ChargePak E1 battery pack is included.

The Evoke Mio DAB and FM radio is onsale from John Lewis and other retail stores as well as via the PURE Digital website.
