Logic3 Valve80 vacuum tube amplifier

Logic3 has launched the Valve80 - an iPod dock with a vacuum tube amplifier.

The Valve80, features an amplifier with a steel body which is flanked by two glossy black 40 Watt speakers. On top of the amplifier sits the iPod dock. The Logic3 device recharges the music player while users enjoy tracks through the speakers and exposed valve tubes. A view meter displays lights that flash in time to the music.

Logic3 explains that the vacuum tube amp balances out the sound of digital audio files. It is also intended to eliminate noise distortion.

Measuring 150x250x200mm and weighing 7kg, theValve80 has two audio inputs to connecte the dock ensure the dock to a TV, CD player or music deck.

Priced at £299, the Valve80 will be available in December from Amazon.
