Now all we have to do is wait to see if an iPhone 5C will exost an hour or two from now.

The iPhone 5C is the rumoured budget iPhone, with the "C" standing either for "cheap" or "color" depending on the sources out there.

There are supposedly five colour versions of the iPhone 5C: yellow, blue, green, rose and white.

Like its more-expensive brother, the iPhone 5S, it will ship with Apple's new mobile operating system iOS 7.

iChic Gear of Switzerlandhas announced two tough protective cases designed to showcase the new colours of the iPhone 5C, while protecting the new budget iPhone from knocks and scratches.

The IPL005 Crystal Shock Absorbing Case, costing £20, has a durable transparent polycarbonate hard shell and raised shock absorbent rim made of TPU rubber for protection when phone is facedown.

There is a large camera aperture to ensure no vignetting or flash rebound, full access to all ports and controls, and a protective TPU cover for volume up/down.

The cheaper IPL004 Crystal Ultra-Light Case (£15) has a uuper-slim transparent polycarbonate hard shell. It too has full access to all ports and controls.
