We show you how to capture an image of your screen when using a Windows PC or laptop.

In this short video we show you how to use the Print Screen button to capture an image incorporating the whole of the display of your Windows PC or laptop. We show you how to then paste that captured image into a Paint doc. You can of course paste the screenshot image into any visual program.

We also introduce the Snipping Tool, a utility that has been part of Windows since Windows Vista. With the snipping tool you can capture a single window, the whole screen, a rectangular section of your screen, or a free-drawn shape cut out of the display.

In this video we show you how to capture a rectangular part of your desktop, and then save that image as a digital image file. There's a more detailed guide here: How to take screenshots in Windows.
