How to enable JavaScript in Google Chrome

Make sure you can see interactive menus and other features

JavaScript is a programming language that allows websites to offer sounds as well as interactive menus and other features. To ensure these facilities are available when you surf the web, you'll need to enable JavaScript on your browser. We've already show you how to do it in Firefox 5 and Internet Explorer 9, but it's slightly different to implement in Google Chrome. Here's how.

Step one
From the tools menu, which is accessed via the spanner icon in the top right-hand corner, select Options.

Step two
Select the tab marked 'Under the Bonnet' and then press the Content settings button.

Step three
Scroll down to the section marked JavaScript and make sure Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) is selected. Alternatively to disable JavaScript, choose the Do not allow any site to run JavaScript option.
