Step 1. Depending on what you plan on doing with your videos, you may need to convert them into different formats. Videora iPod Converter takes the pain out of the process. Select the setting recommended for your device, click One-Click Convert and drag to select as many files as you want.

Step 2. The $19 (£12) Videora Torrent RSS Reader can automatically download web videos based on your viewing preferences. Enter a programme name or keyword into the Search field, add it to your Watch List and then set it to download, with video clips apearing in your RSS feed. Boolean operators and other conditions can be set.

Step 3. Plenty of programs are available for converting video into other formats. Here, we’ve used a 30-day trial version of Movavi Video Converter. Movavi can accept video from almost any source and export it in many common formats. Go to the File option at the top left and browse to a file.

Step 4. Launch Movavi and, under Convert to, select the output device and the format required. We’ve selected Android phones as the generic output device and the Samsung Galaxy as the specific handset. Clicking the Settings button in the ‘Convert to’ box allows you to choose resolution and encoding bitrates.

Step 5. You can preview a clip to check it’s definitely the one you want by clicking the Play button in the pane on the right. The window to the left shows the status of the clip, whether it’s already been converted, and the original and recoded file sizes. Assuming you’re happy, click on the Convert button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 6. You can tell Movavi what to do once the conversion has been completed, choosing either ‘Do Nothing’, ‘Hibernate’ or ‘Shut Down’ from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the screen. Once the file has been transcoded it will appear in the ‘Movavi videos’ folder. You can simply drag it to your device from here.
