QUESTION After installing Windows XP Service Pack 3 on my PC, I'm unable to switch between user accounts without restarting the machine. The login window appears, but there's no text cursor with which to enter the password. Roger Shiong

HELPROOM ANSWER A quick way to get around this is to use the onscreen keyboard; press Ctrl, U at the login screen to bring it up. You may also find that pressing Ctrl, Alt, Del will reveal the cursor.

For a long-term fix, go to Start, Run, type regsvr32 shgina.dll and press Enter.
