Bookmarks, which are known as Favourites in Microsoft's Internet Explorer 9, are a great tool for web users. By simply pressing the yellow star icon on the top left-hand side of the browser, web users can save a site so they can access it at the click of a button rather than trawling through hundreds of pages. But this can result in a massive number of tabs on the Favourites bar, which can look cramped. However, you can manage your bookmarks list by adding folders and placing the bookmarks in these folders, or re-arranging the order bookmarks appear in and even delete bookmarks. We've already shown you how to manage Bookmarks in Firefox 5, but it's a slightly different process for Internet Explorer 9. Here's how.
To re-order any of the tabs in the Favourites bar, which is located below the search bar, click on the bookmark and drag it to the new position.
Alternatively, to create a folder to store specific bookmarks in, right click on a Favourite and then select New folder. You'll be required to enter a name for the folder. Then press Create. The folder will appear on your Favourites bar. You can add bookmarks to it by simply dragging and dropping them onto the folder, or you change where the folder appears in the Bookmark list the same way as described in step one.
To delete a bookmark, right click on the bookmark and then select Delete. The bookmark will be removed.
