The Ashes 2013 cricket test series is underway and England narrowly beat Australia at the first test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The second test starts on 18 July at Lords.

If you're a cricket fan then you probably want to keep up with all the many hours of cricket that will be played. Well here's our guide to keeping up with The Ashes 2013 with live coverage.

How to watch live coverage of The Ashes cricket on TV

For those of you in the UK, The Ashes can be watched live on Sky Sports through the usual channels. Anyone who doesn't have access to Sky Sports can get highlights on Channel 5 daily at 7pm.

Sky Sports subscribers can also watch the all the action via Sky Go for no extra charge. Sky Go is compitble with Laptops/PCs, iPhones, iPads and selected Android devices.

If you happen to live in mainland Europe or South America then you're lucky and can watch coverage live on YouTube thanks to a partnership with The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Unfortunately this excludes the UK and Ireland, but highlights of every session will be available here which we think will be available.

How to listen to live coverage of The Ashes cricket on the radio

If for whatever reason you can't watch The Ashes on TV or on YouTube, then you might want to listen to live coverage. Or do a combination of the both (listening is somewhat easier to do at work).

You can listen to live radio coverage on 5 Live Sports Xtra, hosted by Jonathan Agnew, and Radio 4 long wave through your TV, smartphone, tablet or an actual radio.

How to get live coverage of The Ashes cricket on websites, Aapps and Twitter

There are plenty of alternatives to TV and radio for getting live coverage of The Ashes.

You can simply head to the BBC Sport website to get live text coverage and the scorecard. ESPN Cricinfo website is full of tricks including ball-by-ball text commentary, a full scorecard, interactive graphs, and Hawk Eye. It also offers a desktop scorecard a handy Chrome plugin which alerts you whenever there is a wicket.

There is also a myriad of apps which will help you keep up with all the big hits and wickets. These include Sky Sports Live Cricket Score Centre the Official ESPNcricinfo App.
