How to update Adobe Flash Player

Ensure you have the latest version installed

Hackers are constantly exploiting bugs in software that's related to surfing the web, and Adobe Flash Player is no exception. As a result, firms such as Adobe are constantly releasing new versions of the software with the flaws patched. Here's how to update your version of Flash Player to the most recent available.

Step one
You needed to start by identifying which version of Adobe Flash Player you have installed. Open your web browser and visit Adobe's dedicated web page. This page will automatically detect which version you have.

Step two
Next, look at the table on the same page to identify which version of Flash Player you should have installed. If is the same as the one identified then you don't have to do anything. However, if they don't match, click the link to the Adobe Player Download Centre.

Step three
From the Download Centre, click Download now to install the latest version. It's worth noting to uncheck the box above the Download button if you don't want McAfee's Security can Plus installed. From the Pop up that appears, press Save File.

Step four
Once the file has downloaded, open it and then press Run. The upgrade will now begin. Once completed, a pop up will be displayed alerting you to the fact the installation has been successful. Press Finish.
