Third-party apps for Facebook can give the social network plenty of extra functionality. However, many apps insist of posting content, such as gaming updates , on your wall, which can get a little annoying. However, you can remove the app's right to post on your wall. There are plenty of reasons for wanting to stop an app posting content on your wall. Perhaps you don't want your boss to see just how much time you see playing Farmville during the day, or maybe you just don't want your wall cluttered with anything other then comments and pictures you're tagged in. Whatever the reason, it's fairly easy to implement. Here's how.
Step one
Log in to Facebook and from the Account Menu in the top right-hand corner, select Privacy settings.

Step two
Select Edit your settings under the Apps and websites heading, which can be found towards the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Step three
Under the Apps you use section, click edit Settings.

Step four
Click the Edit settings option next to the app you want to stop posting on your wall.

Step five
Press Remove next to where it states the app can post to your wall. Then once this has been completed press Close section and exit the settings menu. The app will now longer be able to post to your wall.
