Sony E3 2016 press conference: What games and hardware were announced?
Sony kicked off its press conference with an influx of game announcements, including trailers for a new God of War, a new game called Days Gone, an update on The Last Guardian progress, a new Horizon: Zero Dawn trailer and a new trailer for Detroit: Become Human.
There was also a Resident Evil: Biohazard VR trailer, followed by a showcase of VR titles for the PlayStation VR (which also got a release date. Find out more here). See also: Most anticipated VR games 2016
VR trailers included Farpoint, Star Wars: Battlefront, Batman Arkham VR, Final Fantasy XV, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and the Modern Warfare remaster.
Then we were treated to a Crash Bandicoot announcement during which Sony revealed that it's bringing remastered versions of Crash Bandicoot, Crash 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped, followed by news about Skylanders Imaginators and Lego Star Wars: Force Awakens.
Finally, we got a glimpse at the new Death Stranding game starring Walking Dead's own Norman Reedus and a new Spiderman game.
Sony didn't talk about the PS4 Neo, though, which was a bit of a surprise as it is which is expected to arrive in the UK in September 2016. Plus, Microsoft launched an Xbox One S during E3 so we had expected Sony to counter that with its own offering.
