I am currently running Vista (sadly) and want to upgrade to Windows 7. However, Vista now has some errors and I have been told that if I upgrade to 7, the errors might carry across because the settings from Vista will be copied over to Windows 7 when I upgrade.

Is there a way of cleanly installing it? I.e. totally overwriting Vista and not copying settings over at all?
