hi ive got a freeview dongle for my laptop.its arcsoft total media 3.5 but when i plug in the dongle and start arcsoft total media it always comes up device already in use and doesnt let me do anything else wot can i do plaese guys?

check start = run - msconfig -startup and see if arcsoft is ticked. If it is take the tick out and restart windows. Then try using it - if it will not then go to add/remove progs and remove arcsoft. Restart and then try a clean install. Some of these devices require the software to be installed before you plug the dongle in.

is it 32 bit or 64 bit i have vista 32 and windows 7 64 and the dongle runs fine on vista 32 but not on win 7 64 bit could be its not compatible with 64 bit os

well id try uninstalling mark make sure everything comes out software and all drivers then try reinstall then once its in go to device manager and check you dont have any warning triangles by the way what aerial are you connecting to it indoor or outdoor.

none of the two indoor aerials work mate need either a decent indoor booster aerial or better an outdoor or loft aerial.
