I moved out to Malaysia last year and took my Netgear 834GT with me which I have used on my laptop instead of locally manufactured routers which seem not to give the same performance. I am returning to UK for a few weeks shortly and thinking of buying a updated replacement for the Netgear while I am accross. Would appreciate some recommendations please. I am only single user with wireless connection, connection speeds here are poor.

Personal I never like Netgear equipment would suggest you look at the following
D-Link Wireless G ADSL2+ Router with 4 ports 10/100 Switch
At present I have the Dlink and the 3Com unit both working fine
The Dlink is installed and the 3Com is a spare unit in case the Dlink fail
I do not live in the UK so need a spare unit as unable to buy a combination Wireless G ADSL2+
Modem / Router locally as these types of units only available in the UK

Many thanks for great response. I don't have much experience with routers so most useful and I will look at alternatives you suggest. I also have an Aztech router which I bought here but it is very unreliable so I put back the Netgear.
