I downloaded IE7 (I run XP Home) and have now received the following error message whenever I boot up. "Smartbridge Alerts : BTHelpNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL " I have BT Broadband and therefore BT Help. It doesn't seem to stop me doing anything : it's just a pain. Any ideas how to solve the problem ?

You could try uninstalling IE7 and sticking with IE6.
IE7 is still in Beta and 'buggy' - as many threads in this Forum will attest.

Its the BT desktop helper which BT have not made compliant with IE7. Either uninstall the desktop helper if you do not use it or take it out of the start up list and launch it if you need it. IE7 will be fine after that.

Since I uninstalled BT Help in July, I've had no problems with IE7 or BT Broadband so fingers crossed that this continues.

buteman BT broadband users have experienced error message like "SmartBridge Alerts:-Alert BT Help Notifier.exe Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL" The solution. This relates to the BT desktop helper. The simplest way to deal with it is to uninstall it if you do not use it or take it out of your start up list. The program name will be something like Motive Communications or Motive SB. Alternatively, 1. Navigate to the installation location for SmartBridge via My Computer (\Program Files\Alert BT Help Notifier.exe 2. Find PSAPI.DLL and rename it to something like PSAPIOLD.DLL 3. Reboot the system
The program will find the new PSAPI.DLL in the \Windows\System32 directory and function normally.
