My Packard Bell OneTwo has "lost" the DVD drive. It does not show in Control Panel or in My Computer. If a disc is put in the motor runs but then nothing. The unit opens and closes OK. It has had very little use. Any suggestions would be wecome. Thanks Dave.

Is the drive showing in Disk Management? (Start | rightclick on My Computer | Manage)

if showing, has it got a drive letter assigned to it?

If no letter, rightclick and choose 'add letters and path' and choose 'add' and give it a letter.

fingers crossed that should fix it, if not post back with details, have a look in Device Manager and see if it has an exclamation mark against it.
