is it possible to connect a 8mm camcorder to a laptop and make a dvd from the tape and if so whats the easiest way to do it?

Yes 1. If you have IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) on both Camcorder and Laptop.

If the above is a No No, there is always this Click here it's called Honestech VHS to DVD Deluxe, The Box connects to Laptop with USB 2.0, The Video from the Camcorder connects to the Box with RCA Plugs for composite video (yellow) and stereo audio (white and red), Ignore the term VHS as any Video signal (Inc. Betamax or TV out) will do..

This Click here is the honestech VHS to DVD 2.0 Deluxe User Guide in PDF Form, I have been using it since 2007, Works a treat.
