If you have downloaded this for install it may be that the file is corrupt. Try another download from a different site - ie: file hippo or cnet.com

Ok with Firefox it sometimes saves the download file straight the the designated folder. In my case the Download folder and I have to go into that to run the program that I downloaded.

Not sure if it is the same with Chrome.

Sometimes if you have Malware on your computer it will not let you download new security programs.

What security programs do you have on your computer.I was going to say download malwarebytes free and run that. But no good if you cannot download it.

Do you have any antimalware programs on your computer that you can run just to rule out malware problems.

Found this for XP but may also work on W/7

Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs. b. Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs, or you may briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete. c. Now, try to install the anti-virus program again.
