Hi,

I have WinXP Pro 64 bit currently installed on a machine - if I use the "Windows 8 Upgrade Advisor" on their retail site will I download the 64 bit version?

Kind Regards Adrian

Dr Yes,

Thanks for the quick reply, I thought that would be case, but didn't want a bun fight Microsoft if it didn't. The article was informative - but I found it was a little vague around WinXP 64 bit.

Kind Regards Adrian

Odd, as the upgrade assistant looks to the hardware regardless of the OS.
