Help request in finding lost email folders?

I have just upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 8, not without a hitch!

The problem I have is that I cannot find all my old email folders from Vista.

I have tried searching for remedies but to no avail.

Could anyone point me in the right direction as to where I might find them on my system and what to do next?

I have now installed Thunderbird to send and receive my emails which is definitely better than using windows live.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you did a 'clean' install you have lost them. You should have saved all the files to a spare hard drive or a memory stick. But, if You have a webmail account you may find them on the ISP server.
