problems with Windows 8

I have just installed the upgrade version of Windows pro over Windows 7. When i click on the Store tile i just get a big green tile apearing and then goes back to start. Same with Internet Explorer. Any ideas how to fix?

Basically you have a corrupt install. Tiresome I know but I would reinstall without carrying over any of my previous programs. Make sure you back-up all your docs to an external drive/DVD before you do this.

I had exactly the same problem. I initially tried to 'Refresh' Windows 8, with no luck, so had to back-up my files and undertake a complete re-install. This was relatively painless, but time consuming.

Many thanks both. I have tried what you said and it now works. Now...... to start re-installing everything!!
