I'm sure it would help everyone if posters used the tick facility when a post has been resolved. It helps other posters who have a problem to know that they may be able to find an answer relatively easily.

I have removed the identical threads you started in other forum areas, but this one will stay - you're entitled to express an opinion. The thread ticking issue is a long-running one, it dates back quite a few years to when we first introduced the green tick.

Back then we used to send automated emails each month, reminding people to tick their resolved threads. Many people found the emails irritating, and many more simply ignored them, so we discontinued the practice.

It would be great if everyone ticked their resolved threads, but it just isn't going to happen,and I don't feel inclined to nag people about it.
