Hi Needing some assistance, have a brand new re build pc AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3 MSI 870-C45 AMD 770 Socket AM3 GB LAN 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHz HyperX Blu Memory Module CL9 1.5V
Trying to load up a version of win 7 professional 64 bit with no success, since i am a student I accidently loaded a 32 licensed version first successfully identifies 4 gig used out of 12 gig of ram, fully functioning pc no problems . However when trying to install the 64 bit version the temp files load up then bang blue screen and a message "stop and error codes" ( can load up error code later if they are of use.
Any ideas what could be causing the failure ??? Tried installing with just 1 ram chip at a time in case one is faulty. Tried installing on different sata HDD. should I try am ide drive ? could it be the sata side of the motherboard ?
cheers G :)

You cant upgrade over the top from a 32 bit to a 64 bit,you need to back up your files and choose the custom install option to install the 64 bit version, then reinstall your files and programs. You would need to boot the pc with the 64 bit version cd,if your pc cant run 64 bit then you may get some boot errors, but your specs seem to be able to support 64 bit from what you posted. The error codes it has might be usefull to help further.
