in window xp I can right click a photo in a folder and select Preview then go on to print and then the option to select maybe 4 for example then print four on sheet (or 9 etc) in Windows 7 Preview it only gives the option to select 1 photo - is this an error or have they dumbed down the application -

is there a free 'stand alone' or portable program that can do this

Windows 7 has a built-in program called Photo Viewer, should do all you require.

photo viewer

Or for a more comprehensive editor/viewer, there is

live photo gallery

which is a free download from microsoft.

So they've changed it from right cicking the Preview to right clicking the Print while items are all seleceted - looks like another step backwards compared to the original way
