Uninstall software problem

I am running WIN7 64 bit - tried Serif PhotoPlus X2 (32 bit program) it worked but I decided to uninstall. Tried the normal method through Control Panel to uninstall PhotoPLus - message came up
"Do you want this program to update software on this computer"
Program Name: 2987a.msi
Verified Publisher: Serif (Europe) Ltd
File Origin: Hard drive on this computer

Select yes or no.

I selected no as I do not want this program to run and the uninstall promptly stopped.

Has anyone any ideas how to overcome this so I can get rid of PhotoPlus?

Try the free app. Revo Uninstaller, it may solve your problem.

seems like the translation went awry.

by uninstalling, you are, in effect, "updating" the software.

i've ran across a few of these programs with non-intuitive english instructions.

revo will initiate serif's uninstaller first. curious if you'll end up with the same scenario. :-)

Thanks for the info on REvo. I installed Revo Pro and it removed Serif software instantly and completely, also scanned for left over files and found none. What a brilliant little program!
