Windows Vista and Photo Slide Show Problems

Hi! I recently got a new PC (HP AMD Athlon 7550 Dual-Core Processor) with Windows Vista. When we view a slide show of our pictures through windows photo gallery, the pictures shift to the right hand side of the screen. It means that pictures in landscape view have part of the picture cut off on the right hand side. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Our previous PC also had windows vista and we had no problems viewing a slide show.
Any thoughts out there?
