I am trying to do a fresh install of vista on a laptop and after going around in circles during the installation I have finally found out that Sata drivers need to be installed as well.
Downloaded the drivers which seem to consist of seven files. Loaded them onto a usb flash stick
and tried again - still no luck - windows finds the usb stick during the installation but nothing happens. Any suggestions please. This is where I downloaded from....
I purchased the acer secondhand and it appears to be okay although full of junk and has only a drive letter C - it's runs exceedingly slow..
Thank you for any advice.....
